Imagine that you’ve stumbled into a portal that transports you into my faerie world of Faylan..
The Sacred Vine welcomes you by allowing you to shift into a faerie from one of the
5 clans and sends into the world with a letter. It includes details like: why you were sorted into your clan, where you may live, what occupations you may choose from, and even what dangers you may face...

Welcome to Faylan!
After taking the Faerie Clan Sorting Quiz, click the letter that corresponds to the clan you've been sorted into:

Dear honored human,

As the Sacred Vine—the entity that connects all living things in this realm—I welcome you to the faerie world of Faylan. You have been uniquely blessed with the rare opportunity to visit, and even stay permanently, if you’d like.

To help you best assimilate into fae culture, I have shifted your appearance into that of a Gwyllion faerie, lengthening your ears to a point at the end and giving you dragon-like wings as well as certain Gwyllion abilities.
I believe this is the clan you are best suited for, seeing as Gwyllions are the strongest and boldest of the five faerie clans. Living in the mountains that surround the faerie world, they defend its borders from raiding giants and ferocious dragons with their own dragon-like wings and the flawless weapons they diligently forge. They value strength of body and will-power so fiercely that they stomp out any sign of weakness—even the need for emotion or magic. But deep beneath their determination and ambitiousness are protective, loyal hearts just waiting to be fanned into flame.

While you are here, you may live in the great mountain city of Greymerrow, the capitol of all Gwyllion life, but there are also smaller mountain cities you may settle in as well.

You may also choose an occupation. Perhaps a warrior or scout in the Gwyllion Guard, bladesmith, hunter, herd keeper of hardy mountain beasts, tavern owner, merchant, butcher or fishmonger.

I also must warn you, certain dangers come with living in Gwyllion territories, such as the dragons who raid the cities from time to time. Gwyllions also see emotions as weakness and do not approve of magical abilities, so I would be mindful of your emotions and keep any magical abilities you may find you possess to yourself. Especially if you find you can produce fire from you hands like the banished Mystics.

Welcome to the faerie realm. Please enjoy your stay.

The Sacred Vine

Dear honored human,

As the Sacred Vine—the entity that connects all living things in this realm—I welcome you to the faerie world of Faylan. You have been uniquely blessed with the rare opportunity to visit, and even stay permanently, if you’d like.

To help you best assimilate into fae culture, I have shifted your appearance into that of a Sylph faerie, lengthening your ears to a point at the end and giving you bird-like wings as well as certain Sylph abilities.
I believe this is the clan you are best suited for, seeing as Sylphs are the “bookworms” of the faerie world with their heads quite literally in the clouds, ruling all of Faylan from their sky city. With their majestic bird-like wings, skill with potions, and insatiable desire for knowledge, they also believe they are the only clan wise enough to rule their world—and they are determined to prove it.

While you are here, you may live in the great city of Eldore, the capitol of all Sylph life, but there are also smaller territories on the outskirts of the city as well as Sylph dwellings in the City of Shree, located at the based of the Sacred Vine.

You may also choose an occupation. Perhaps some kind of scribe, librarian or bookshop owner, researcher, potions expert, professor, or you may help protect the province by joining the Sylph Guard.

I also must warn you, certain dangers come with living in Sylph territories, particularly seeing as the main city resides high up in the clouds. I would take care to practice flying with your wings before traveling up there. It is a long way down.

To help you best assimilate into fae culture, I have shifted your appearance into that of a Nymph faerie, lengthening your ears to a point at the end and giving you fin-like wings as well as certain Nymph abilities.
I believe this is the clan you are best suited for, seeing as Nymphs are an alluring clan who can live both on land and in their home in the sea because of their fin-like wings and ability to shift into a mermaid-like form. Valuing beauty above all else, these faeries tend to performers of all kinds. They are also the greatest entertainers and party throwers in all of Faylan, always looking for a reason to celebrate, they drink up life, deal with the hangover, and go right back in for more.

While you are here, you may live in the great underwater city of Isinglass, the capitol of all Nymph life, but there are also smaller water-cities you may settle in as well.

You may also choose an occupation. Perhaps some kind of musician, artist, poet, beautician, or designer. Alternatively, you may gravitate toward being a sea-beast tamer (of creatures like sea stags) or helping protect your province by being part of the Nymph Guard. You may also find that you have certain magical abilities such as water manipulation or the very rare and outlawed “silver tongue” gift.

I also must warn you, certain dangers come with living in Nymph territories, such as monstrous sea-beasts like the Leviathan and the pirate faeries who are constantly at odds with the Nymphs over control of the Silver Sea.

Welcome to the faerie realm. Please enjoy your stay.

Dear honored human,

To help you best assimilate into fae culture, I have shifted your appearance into that of a Dryad faerie, lengthening your ears to a point at the end and giving you butterfly-like wings as well as certain Dryad abilities.

I believe this is the clan you are best suited for, seeing as Dryads are best known as the peacemakers of the faerie world, valuing the cultivation and protection of life above all else. Living in the forests, they have butterfly-like wings and often have physical features that mimic the plants and creatures they care for. Some are even “changelings” that can shapeshift into an animal or plant. None should be underestimated, though. If you threaten their home or anyone they hold dear, you may not live to tell the tale.

While you are here, you may live in the great city of Vyndoria, the capitol of all Dryad life, but there are also smaller villages throughout the Woodlands that you may consider staying in as well. If you love creatures, Thornhaven would greatly appreciate your help with the wild animals they care for there.

You may also choose an occupation. Perhaps some kind of medik, beast tamer, hunter-gatherer, caretaker of the royal plant nursery, or you can help protect your province by joining the Dryad Warriors.

I also must warn you, certain dangers come with living in Dryad territories. Though the Dryads have a special relationship with the creatures of Faylan, some of the animals have been acting strange and threatening lately and there have been rumors of dark figures traversing the forest. Be on your guard.

The Sacred Vine

Dear honored human,

As the Sacred Vine—the entity that connects all living things in this realm—I welcome you to the faerie world of Faylan. You have been uniquely blessed with the rare opportunity to visit, and even stay permanently, if you’d like.

To help you best assimilate into fae culture, I have shifted your appearance into that of a Kobold faerie, lengthening your ears to a point at the end and giving you bat-like wings as well as certain Kobold abilities.
I believe this is the clan you are best suited for, seeing as Kobolds may be the most eccentric of the clans with their steampunk attire and bat-like wings—though they much prefer terms like “quirky”, “innovative” and “resourceful”. Valuing creativity above all else, Kobolds are single-handedly responsible for the advancement of the faerie world. Deep in their maze of underground tunnels, they mine the most powerful substance, pixie dust, for all of their miraculous inventions like ships that can fly. Never satisfied with the same old thing, the Kobolds are always coming up with something bigger and better, faster and stranger.

While you are here, you may live in the great city of Tartarus, the capitol of all Kobold life, but there are also smaller outposts throughout the underground world that you may consider staying in as well. Dustbarrow, for example, is one that is a bit cozier and more welcoming than the bustling city of Tartarus.

You may also choose an occupation. Perhaps some kind of tinkerer, inventor, repair mechanic, tunnel architect, pixie dust miner or seller, or you can help protect your clan by joining the Kobold Guard.

I also must warn you, certain dangers come with living in Kobold territories. Besides trying to avoid the giant tunnel worms, being constantly exposed to pixie dust is the main cause of Kobold-eccentricity. Though exposure has also led their eyes to be able to glow in the dark and has given them the ability manipulate pixie-dust-infused items with their minds.

Welcome to the faerie realm. Please enjoy your stay.
