“Deciding to reach out to Brittany about her PSR opportunity was probably one of the best decisions I made for myself and my writing and publishing journey.

Before taking the course, I had a solid idea, a draft, and a dream for the story I wanted to tell, but it was messy and chaotic. In October of 2024 my dream of being a published author came true when my first book, The Cards We’re Dealt, was released. By July 2025 book 2 was released, followed by book 3 in July of 2026. Which concluded what I am calling “season one” of my series, with more planned and in the works.

"Before joining the Published Series Roadmap, I had stories I wanted to tell, but the idea of turning them into an actual published series felt overwhelming. Writing the book was only one piece of it. Plotting an entire series, building an author platform, learning how to market before publication, understanding the indie publishing process, and figuring out how all those pieces fit together was an entirely different challenge.

PSR gave me a roadmap for doing exactly that.

Through the program, I developed The Awakener Series, my paranormal epic fantasy series, from an idea into something tangible. Brittany's approach helped me break a much larger story into manageable pieces, strengthen the structure of the individual books and the series as a whole, and actually move forward instead of endlessly wondering whether I was doing things "right."

One of the most valuable things about PSR is that it doesn't stop at writing the book. Brittany walks through the entire author journey, including plotting and drafting, publishing, pre-marketing, social media, newsletters, websites, and building connections with readers. Having all of that information organized in one place made a process that can feel incredibly overwhelming much more manageable.

I originally published the first book of The Awakener Series in three episodic parts, which gave me the opportunity to learn the publishing process while I was still building the larger series. Those three parts have now become the complete first novel, Awakener Dawning, and I'm continuing to develop the books that follow it.

Along the way, I've also built my author website, newsletter, social media presence, and a much clearer vision for what I want my author career to look like.

The community Brittany has created around PSR has been another huge part of the experience. Writing and publishing can be surprisingly isolating, and having a group of other authors who understand the process—people who celebrate wins, answer questions, share resources, brainstorm problems, and encourage each other when something isn't working—has been invaluable.

Most importantly, PSR helped turn "I want to publish a series someday" into something I'm actually doing.
There is an enormous difference between having a manuscript on a computer and building a life as an author. PSR helped me understand all the pieces between those two points and gave me the tools and confidence to start putting them together.

I'd recommend the Published Series Roadmap to authors who have a story they believe in but feel overwhelmed by everything that comes before, during, and after the writing process. Brittany doesn't promise that building an author career is easy, because it isn't. What she does provide is structure, practical resources, encouragement, and a community that makes the path forward much easier to see.

The Awakener Series exists in the world today because I finally stopped thinking of publication as something I'd do "someday" and started treating it as something I could actually accomplish. PSR played an important role in helping me make that shift.

“Before I took PSR, I was super overwhelmed with self-publishing. I had been writing with the intent to publish for two years, but hadn't gotten up the courage to actually do it.

I signed up for PSR because I was really intrigued by the mini-series structure for publishing, but PSR did so much more than just present a new way to publish.

The “Mini-Series Method” helped me to write and edit way more effectively because, it turns out, my brain super loves the structure of writing a novel in parts. Not only does working on a book in parts work well with my writing style, my work is so much stronger because each part of it can stand on its own.

I've now published all four parts (“episodes”) of my first ever fantasy romance book, “Sleying the Loom”, the first of a trilogy. As well as two additional cozy fantasy novellas!

I've loved this method of publishing so much that I'm already writing the second book in episodes and have the third outlined using Brittany's method. Writing the second book in a trilogy has been a fun new challenge, and already I'm finding that four episodes is perfect for the story I want to tell.

I also love that publishing in a mini-series takes the pressure off of publishing. It takes me a long time to write a full novel, but publishing in episodes has given me the time to start working on the next book without feeling rushed.

Because this was my first time publishing, I understandably made a few mistakes with the first episode, but it wasn't as discouraging because I had a chance to do better with the next episode that came out just a few weeks later, instead of having to wait years until my next book was ready. I also got to play with marketing each episode and learned a ton much quicker than if I was publishing once every few years.

The PSR community has really shown up for me too. I had a few beta readers from PSR who left wonderful reviews on my books. They are the best!

I'd recommend this course to any writers who are looking for not only an innovative way to publish, but also a more manageable model for writing and editing a book. On top of all this, PSR has also been an excellent resource in learning how to use social media, which has been invaluable! Thank you Brittany for such an amazing course!”

“Before Brittany’s course I struggled a lot with understanding how to plot a whole series and drafting was a very slow process of drudgery. There was so little material out there on how to craft a story that could span multiple books—how to keep them connected as part of a whole, as well as standing on their own as satisfying stories.
